The U.S. Figure Skating ASPIRE Program helps beginning figure skaters make the transition from Learn to Skate USA group classes into U.S. Figure Skating.
Aspire offers a safe and supportive group training environment for Basic Skills 5 through Freeskate 6 skaters who have not tested beyond Pre-Preliminary. This keeps costs down and motivation high as skaters enhance skills, develop good practice habits, and learn the fundamentals of off-ice training alongside their peers.
Experience a variety of training opportunities from different coaches while fine-tuning your skills through proper progression and development of good technique:
Advancement in figure skating requires many hours of instruction, practice, and disciplined concentration. The Aspire program perfectly complements Learn to Skate USA and ISI group lessons and is an excellent addition to private lessons.
During the school year, from September - June:
All Aspire program skaters must have already mastered Basic Skating Techniques!
Pre-Registration is Required - No Walk-Ins Will Be Permitted!
No Refunds or Make-Up Classes.
The Aspire program at Ice Vault is for you if you:
Find out what you need to know about competing, testing, and everything in between!
The class size is limited to 12 skaters, with a basic 5 level and above. Lower levels may be permitted with Coach Aimée's approval.
The U.S. Figure Skating ASPIRE Program helps beginning figure skaters make the transition from Learn to Skate USA group classes into U.S. Figure Skating.
Pre-Preliminary & Preliminary Skating Skills (Moves in the Field) tests are designed to encourage beginning figure skaters to learn the fundamentals of ice skating.
Aspire group classes offer a safe and supportive group training environment that keeps costs down and motivation high as skaters learn proper blade usage, weight transfer, body alignment, edges, and rhythm necessary to pass their first official U.S. Figure Skating test alongside their peers.
The class is limited to 6 skaters!

Parent of Aspire Program Skater
The CASA Aspire program at Ice Vault is open to skaters starting at Basic 5, up through Learn to Skate Free Skate 6, and Preliminary moves in the field. For skaters of multiple levels, we use skill matching and additional coaches in an attempt to include every skater and ensure that they are learning new skills and improving existing ones. However, it is up to each individual skater to take direction from the coaches and not step back from instruction.
Aspire is meant to supplement Learn to Skate classes and even private lessons. Aspire does not follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Rather, it incorporates skating skills and off-ice training into a higher-level group program.
Through the development of athleticism and skill, Aspire helps skaters build a solid foundation that drives success on and off the ice. Skaters will learn how to warm up like a champion, navigate freestyle sessions, and practice independently.
Skaters are strongly encouraged to continue their group lessons until they complete Learn to Skate USA Basic 1-6 while they are enrolled in Aspire. Private lessons are also encouraged for skaters looking to test and/or compete.
Vivek J., Parent of Aspire Program Skater
I became a coach to help aspiring skaters avoid making the mistakes that I made. I've suffered injuries and been exhausted and frustrated because I couldn't access the right program and tools to achieve my goals properly. I learned everything the hard way by seeking instruction, information, and inspiration.
My approach is unique because I am skilled in on-ice development and off-ice strength and conditioning to optimize on-ice performance, nutrition, and health coaching.
I now work with skaters, parents, and even other coaches – because I believe every skater deserves the opportunity to take their performance to the next level under the guidance of a coach who has been there and genuinely wants to help them succeed on the ice and in life!
* Depending on the number of skaters and levels of those enrolled, additional coaches may be added.
